Aliya is the most recent addition to Sasha's social circle. Having moved to Moscow from Almaty, Kazakhstan in search of new opportunities, she instead found a cycle of difficult, monotonous, and sometimes dangerous work. Unbelievably persistent and ambitious, she works multiple jobs to support herself, her disabled father, and her dream of making it on her own. After becoming acquainted with Sasha at one of her workplaces, she quickly learns of his criminal exploits and blackmails him into bringing her along for the ride. She sees the situation as an opportunity to finally make enough money to establish a proper life for herself.

• Her father was injured in a mining accident that left him deaf and partially paralyzed. Her mother has been absent for most of her life.
• Got caught up in a brothel that turned out to be a sex trafficking ring when she first came to Moscow. Although she fought hard to escape it, her trauma has had a huge impact on her ability to form meaningful relationships.
• Workaholic, tends to burn herself out to the point of physical illness. Has a hard time getting herself to relax.
• Knows Russian Sign Language, uses it to talk to Dmitri behind Sasha's back.
